On this day, the Sun is positioned directly over the Earth's equator. The Vernal Equinox represents one-half of the cycle the other half is known as the Autumn Equinox.

The Day of Vernal Equinox is recognized as a day of the changing of the seasons and an ancient Japanese holiday. This day is a celebration of an ancient Buddhist tale that when the night and day become equal Buddha visits earth for one week to rescue stray souls and lead them to Nirvana. This Buddhist holiday has grown into a social Japanese event.

Overall I had a good experience in Odessa. I am now here at home thinking about returning to Simferopol so I can visit the girl I met, if further correspondence with her is positive.
