August 6th, The International Day of Peace


The International Day of Peace is celebrated on August 6th of each year.

This is a day, which was proposed by the Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear Threat. This day is an anniversary of bombing Japanese city Hiroshima in 1945. This day serves as a reminder of this human tragedy and of the role of doctors in the struggle for peace and the prevention of war.

I WAS IN MOSCOW WITH EUROPEAN CONNECTIONS WHEN SOMEONE SLIPPED ME A FREE ADMISSION TO COME JOIN THEM AT THE STANISLAVSKY CLUB, WHICH I ATTENDED THE SOCIAL ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON.
